Running out of time?
Why time flies? It seems like you never have time, it’s just never enough, if only the day was just a bit longer! Fortunately for you, it actually is very, very long…the most common problem these days is that we spend just a bit more time on things we don’t really need to….here’s what I’m talking about:
- Stuck in traffic all the time?
- Ending up in the food store because you keep running out of it?
- Keep losing things like your car keys somewhere in your disorganized room?
- Do you religiously watch all the Star Wars episodes every Sunday?
- Does homework research take more time than it needs to?
What Im trying to say is, we do certain things in our daily life without actually trying to stop and think; “Is this the most efficient way to do this?”
List out all of your major daily activities, and think about the best way to accomplish them. For example, if you live in LA like me, you probably know what I mean when I say traffic has built a whole new emotion when your stuck on the 405. One way to avoid traffic is to stay up to date. Radio stations update you on the latest traffic jams, accidents, the awesome new phenomenon called the World Wide Web, or the internet, has up to the minute information too. My personal favorite is subscribe to for traffic updates right on your GPS and it will automatically reroute your destination.
Why are we out of orange juice all the time? Going to the market for fridge refills can shave off lots of valuable time, plus it’s kind of gets repetitively irritating….well unless your girlfriend works there. Buy products for 3 days at minimum, and try to stay to your daily limits of consumption.
Organize your house, remember, there is always something that can be done better than it already is. Keep loosing your keys? Try one of those key hangers and actually use it, also have a spare key somewhere you know that it will stay there.
Most of the time you have more things than places to put them, buy more shelves, drawers, and everything you need to finally step on your floor and not your homework.
Admit it, that fave movie or magazine or TV show is waisting it. I personally have nothing against potato-couching, but it can seriously waste those precious hours when you most need them. So limit your daily dose of Simpson’s to a minimum.

When I sat down to share my thoughts and insights about what it means to be a valuable mother to my children, I really had to look hard at myself for sometime. I began with the usual rigmarole regarding kindness, respect, empathy and I had to stop myself. Do I always portray an image of kindness ? Am I respectful as I carry on with the minutia of my day ? Am I empathetic when I am rushing to get my 10 year old to finish his homework during breakfast while listening to my 8 year old daughters bout with mean girl drama, all the while trying desperately
Long ago, people realized that there is strength in numbers. For hundreds of years, we have been joining forces against all kinds of calamities — including financial troubles.
